Who are we?
The Crestfallen was formed on the 20th of August in 2020 by four friends. The goal of which was to create a Free Company where many OCs can find a home in from almost any profession. Crafter? Gatherer? Scholar? Fighter? All are welcomed as is any who have a fractured past, and an uncertain future.
We're a group of Roleplayers who also do content from time to time. Our Free Company acts like the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, only we work in secret. Outside of alliances, not known publicly, funded in secret, but operate in plain sight. Taking information from members who specialize in information gathering or from anonymous yet reliable sources. Information such as an area needing help, oppressed peoples for want of liberation, or a simple assistance from time to time. Helping where we can, if we can.
TL;DR
Think of the movie The Kingsmen, and we're that secret group.
Our Structure
We go by a hierarchy, but every voice is considered equal. Consider the rankings to be a form of trust within the Company, for we are a secretive society. At the top is our High Marshals, the founders of The Crestfallen. While they may disagree with one another, their word is absolute, and they each are a pillar in the community.
The highest level of trust a member would earn is the rank of Cardinal. Hand-picked by a High Marshal, Cardinals have proven themselves dedicated to the cause of helping others above and beyond the call of duty.
An official member of The Crestfallen is dubbed a Knight. Appointed to by a High Marshal, or if by a rare chance, a Cardinal. Knights are considered to be a trusted member of the Company. Brought along into the fold of secrets of the real goal of the Company.
Any new member who joins the Free Company is known as an Apprentice. Apprentice of what? Well it depends on the profession your character has. Though it doesn't really matter for it's merely an Apprenticeship into our fold. If you're a good fit, and if you'd enjoy our Company. Therefore, Apprentices wouldn't know about the secrecy of our covert dealings.
The last rank of which isn't technically a rank within the FC. Whisperers. I bet you're wondering, "huh they don't have a color?" but they do. It's white, same as this text. Because Whisperers are in plain sight. Our information gatherers from other worlds, other places that are in need of help. Adventurers far and wide who have knowledge of this group of others dedicated to helping. These Whisperers are others who may have wished to join but couldn't, or desire to assist in their own way. Active outside of our FC, but still with us.
So pretty much:
High Marshal - The Founders.
Cardinal - Most trusted members. Officers.
Knight - Official member of the Company.
Apprentice - New member, looking for a place to stay.
Whisperers - Not a member, but an ally.
